The Peoples Republic of China (PRC) is changing the way you and I think… whether you like it or not! As much as you may choose to distance yourself from the PRC, it doesn’t change the fact that their communist regime and associated social values and work ethic are directly changing you and your social values and the way you choose to work. The PRC is changing YOU!

The PRC exports everything to everybody, there’s not a country on earth that doesn’t buy something from China. There are things we used to make ourselves but China makes them quicker and cheaper so in a free market economy (as most of the world is)… we all end up buying from China. So straight off the bat ‘… they’re taking all our jobs…’ and this obviously DIRECTLY affects you and me.

It’s a fact! Australia Post is killing online business. With their latest round of stealth price increases they have once again dealt a decisive blow against the small online trader.

Why do they feel the need to constantly increase prices – 35% in the last year alone?

Why do they constant shift the goal posts – changing weight and size limits?

Why?

Well the answer is perhaps a little more obscure than just… ‘keeping up with rising costs’, unfortunately the answer is laced with political overtones.

The Great Solar Panel Swindle

We’ve all seen the adverts plastered across our TV screens and swamping the radio waves and by all accounts it sounds like a great offer… almost to good to miss.

I mean, the Federal government is giving away about $6500 per installation (on a retail cost of say $8000) which only leaves you or me paying $1500 to get the job done – an absolute bargain isn’t it?

And there’s more. On top of this federal rebate, the various states will chuck in a few bob to sweeten the deal and here’s the deal maker, the electricity supply companies will PAY YOU for the electricity you produce but don’t use..! Wow… FREE MONEY.

Sounds to good to be true so where’s the catch if there is one at all?

Today yielded another fine move from Kevin Rudd, the Australian Labor Party’s (ALP) Grandmaster in his ‘chess’ game with fledgeling chess Master, Prime Minister Julia Gillard.

What..? Not another chapter left out of the Australian History syllabus. – Guy and a few mates tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament (and in particular the House of Lords) in London UK, back in 1605. The plot failed, Guy got caught, convicted of treason and summarily executed.

Ever since then, the English (and in later years the British and nowadays all its colonies) have celebrated the failed plot by burning an effigy of Guy Fawkes and letting off heaps of fireworks on the 5th November each year. This gave rise to its more colloquial names of ‘Bonfire Night‘ or ‘Fireworks Night‘.

Enter the Nanny State… Australia.

Australian Tax Return Deadline

Today is the DAY… for your Australian Tax Return! – Or Is It..?

Tax Return DeadlineAustralian Tax Returns for Individuals are due at the end of each Australian financial year, that is June 30th to you and me.

The ATO (Australian Tax Office) gives us a few months to get it all together and submit it to them, so that takes us up to October 31st. After this date… to quote the ATO, “..penalties apply..”. Scary stuff!

So that makes today the day for the ATO deadline for Tax Return Submissions – right? Well not necessarily, and here’s why.

Let me start off by saying that if the world really wants to ‘Save The Environment‘, then the world needs to remove it’s dependency on the environment because it’s that very same dependency that is fuelling the destruction.

Now we all know that ‘the world’ is not about to cut back let alone remove it’s environmental dependency no matter how hard or loud any lobby may bleat, so where does that leave us – I’ll tell you where that leaves us… it leaves us with Gas Fracking!

You and everyone else on this planet needs ‘energy’, some may need only a few sticks of wood for a fire yet others may require megawatts of electricity or billions of barrels of oil… and no matter how you cut it, slice it or parcel it up, producing that energy all leads to the destruction of the environment in one way or another!

Sure they’ve got different names and sure they have different logos and hey, a quick search of companies house yields they’ve got different owners – so by all accounts you would think they’re independant BUT YOU’D BE WRONG.

Allconnex is just the Gold Coast City Council Water Department by another name!

A German’s View on Islam

This is by far the best explanation of the Muslim terrorist situation I have ever read. The references to past history are accurate and clear. Not long, easy to understand, and well worth the read. The author of this text is said to be Dr. Emanuel Tanay, a well-known and well-respected psychiatrist.

When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism. ‘Very few people were true Nazis,’ he said, ‘but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.’

It’s an absolute circus… a bit of rain and ta da… potholes everywhere!

You couldn’t write a better comedy script even if you tried. The City Councillors (bless their souls) are always looking for ways to save money and not paying for proper roads seems to be one way to do it..!

It’s not rocket science but when contractors can bulldoze down a few trees in your neighbourhood one day and you’ll be driving on a brand spanking new tarmac road the next… something has to be amiss.

In other countries it takes a fair few weeks to lay a new road but not in Paradise, we do it in a matter of days. To the naked eye it looks the same, feels the same when you drive on it and hey… it even costs the same.

So why the potholes?
