When It Rains – It Pours
…some days you just wake up and it all goes to pot
So the baby decides to up chuck the moment you put her down for her nights sleep and you have to suddenly change the bedding.
You then try to put her down but she decides a nappy change is required, even though you changed it only 20 minutes prior.
3rd attempt at getting her to sleep is met with wide awake eyes and a desire for play time – after all the stimulation of the past half hour, would you expect anything less?
Finally worn out and ready for bed but alas, she is now over tired and restless and won’t settle. Never fear its almost feeding time again so lets do it all over again…
After a night like that all you want is an easy day tomorrow BUT… When It Rains – It Pours!
You come down stairs bright and early to find you prized long hair cat wrapped around a sticky fly catcher. There’s nothing for it but to cut it out with a pair of scissors, leaving a very dishevelled looking Birman.
Time to stick on a load of washing from last nights up chucking episode. Easy enough until half way through you realise that the cat has pulled the waste water pipe from its drain and laid it to rest on the floor, so you are landed with a flooded basement.
You’ve now lost so much time, you’re tired and ratty, and you haven’t even started work yet – even though you have a project deadline that passed two days ago. You turn the computer on to find an email from the client…
…I think we all get the picture.
