Tech Support for Women

Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewellery applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

Emotional Capacity

The Differing Emotional Capacity of People

All men are made equal“… or at least that is what Thomas Jefferson and the American  Declaration of Independence would have us believe! I think otherwise… and this is why.

Differing Emotional Capacities

Differing Emotional Capacities

If we were all equal, then there would be no difference in one persons emotional capacity, over another.  And we both know that you do not have to look further than your own home to see differing emotional capacities in action. Let me explain.

Prior to the birth of my first child, my wife and I discussed the impending ‘new order’ and in particular how we would cope with a third person in our emotional circle. Up until then, I had singularly enjoyed my wife’s entire emotional capacity but now I expressed my reservations at having to accept ‘half rations’ or half her emotional capacity, with my impending daughter receiving the other half.

After the birth of our daughter, non of the above transpired and the reality was quite different!

Potholes in Paradise

December 28th, 2010

…and that’s SURFERS PARADISE down on the sunny GOLD COAST… in QLD, AUSTRALIA.

Potholes in Paradise
Potholes in Paradise

It’s an absolute circus… a bit of rain and ta da… potholes everywhere!

You couldn’t write a better comedy script even if you tried. The City Councillors (bless their souls) are always looking for ways to save money and not paying for proper roads seems to be one way to do it..!

It’s not rocket science but when contractors can bulldoze down a few trees in your neighbourhood one day and you’ll be driving on a brand spanking new tarmac road the next… something has to be amiss.

In other countries it takes a fair few weeks to lay a new road but not in Paradise, we do it in a matter of days. To the naked eye it looks the same, feels the same when you drive on it and hey… it even costs the same.

So why the potholes?

When It Rains - It Pours

When It Rains - It Pours

When It Rains – It Pours

…some days you just wake up and it all goes to pot

So the baby decides to up chuck the moment you put her down for her nights sleep and you have to suddenly change the bedding.

You then try to put her down but she decides a nappy change is required, even though you changed it only 20 minutes prior.

3rd attempt at getting her to sleep is met with wide awake eyes and a desire for play time – after all the stimulation of the past half hour, would you expect anything less?

Finally worn out and ready for bed but alas, she is now over tired and restless and won’t settle. Never fear its almost feeding time again so lets do it all over again…

WikiLeaks, the Governments Big Brother

How does it feel now, with the shoe on the other foot…?

Well, it feels just great from where I’m sitting down here as Mr Joe Blow public.

It’s about time somebody stood up and began holding the worlds governments accountable and today that somebody is Julian Assange and WikiLeaks.

Google Adsense

There are plenty of sites out there that’ll tell you how to make Ad Cents (money) from AdSense (Google Advertising) so I’ll spare you the rhetoric suffice to say…

Breast Is Best

The Mantra at the Gold Coast Hospital is most definitely

Breast Is Best

Trapped Chilean Miners Free At Last

October 13th, 2010

Trapped Chilean Miners

The 33 Chilean Miners, Trapped Underground For The Past Two Months Are Now Finally Free… or so the world media would have us believe!

The rescue operation in the northern Chilean town of Copiapo has succeeded in bringing the 33 trapped miners to the surface, releasing them from their involuntary entombment BUT NOT freeing them from their entrapment!

The horrific news of the 5 August cave in and the suspected loss of many lives, followed by the elated discovery on 22 August that all are alive and well, captured the hearts and minds of a global audience.

Today’s rescue and ‘freedom’ should signal the closing chapter to their entrapment BUT THE REALITY is quite different!

Content Is King by Bill Gates

October 12th, 2010

King Bill GatesFor all the SEO and SEM that one does, content will always prevail. Bill Gates said it over a decade ago and it still rings true today…

CONTENT IS KING

In short, this means that no matter what trickery and skulduggery you implement to achieve greater or better rankings, nothing beats good old fashioned ‘content’. You provide good unique content and the internet will do the rest.

Read Bill’s essay below and be amazed.
